The Russian 155th Marine Brigade experienced significant casualties during an attempted assault on Ukrainian positions near the village of Nikolskoye. The Ukrainian Army’s 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, known as “Magura,” reported the incident via their official Telegram channel.
According to the brigade, the Russian forces reportedly launched an attack with more than a dozen tanks, outfitted with mine-clearing rollers, and a company-sized unit of personnel.

The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade said Ukrainian First-Person View (FPV) and bomber drones persistently targeted the armored column flying Soviet flags, resulting in the destruction and disabling of multiple vehicles.
“Neither the minefield nor the swarm of Ukrainian drones of the 47th Magura Brigade fazed the enemy. Not only tanks got tired of our ‘birds.’ One of the tankers decided to ‘rest’ near a hit vehicle, and our FPV of the Battalion helped him finally,” the brigade noted.

Further analysis by Ukrainian military news portal Militarnyi, referencing Russian Telegram channel Severny, revealed that the Russian command had devised a two-phase assault strategy.
The plan failed due to several factors, according to Militarnyi. Instead of a brief pause between attacks, a full day elapsed, giving Ukrainian forces time to rest. Furthermore, the Russians launched their second assault in broad daylight, allowing Ukrainian forces to detect the enemy and organize a response.
