Nautilus Defense and Leidos Secure Navy Contracts for Smart Textile Development

Nautilus Defense LLC and Leidos Inc. have been awarded contracts totaling over $22 million for the development of Smart Electrically Powered and Networked Textile Systems for the Navy.

Nautilus Defense LLC and Leidos Inc. have been awarded contracts totaling over $22 million for the development of Smart Electrically Powered and Networked Textile Systems for the Navy. These contracts include the creation of wearable, washable garments with active smart textile components, with work expected to be completed by January 2025, and options extending to January 2027. Meanwhile, Webworld Technologies Inc., Inflowlogistics LLC, 1 Mission Partners, Innovative Approach JV LLC, and Karthik Consulting, LLC have been awarded multiple contracts with a total ceiling amount of $99,999,999 for Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Cyber Effects Operations Electromagnetic Spectrum Superiority advisory and assistance support services. These contracts are expected to be fulfilled by August 28, 2029.

Work will be mainly performed in the National Capital Region.

Competitive Acquisition Process: The contracts were awarded following full and open competition, with 18 timely offers received for the Navy contracts and five offers for the Air Force contracts, reflecting a highly competitive environment in the field of military technology and support services.
