Kenyan Special Forces killed at least 23 al-Shabab fighters in an ambush in Orgene village, Mandera County, in northeast Kenya. This incident also resulted in the deaths of six Kenyan soldiers and left eight injured. This encounter follows the recent declaration by Security Minister Kithure Kindiki to eliminate militants from Kenyan territories amidst a rise in terrorist attacks near the Kenya-Somalia border.
