In an operation that has drawn international attention, Israeli forces, dressed as civilian women and medical workers, infiltrated the Ibn Sina Hospital in the West Bank city of Jenin. The raid led to the killing of three Palestinian militants, which the Israeli military asserts were using the hospital as a hideout. Security camera footage from the hospital shows approximately a dozen undercover forces in various disguises, including Muslim headscarves and medical scrubs, with rifles in hand.
The Israeli forces targeted specific individuals, including Mohammed Jalamneh, alleged to be planning an imminent attack, and brothers Basel and Mohammed Ghazawi, accused of involvement in past attacks. The engagement was reported as being one sided, with no exchange taking place. The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned this act, emphasizing the lack of armed confrontation in the hospital, and labeled it a targeted assassination. Dr. Naji Nazzal, the hospital’s director, stated that the Israeli team entered the hospital around 5:30 a.m. and proceeded to the third floor. There, they reportedly executed the three men in their sleep. The Iranian-backed Islamic Jihad militant group identified the Al-Ghazzawi brothers as members of its armed wing, while Hamas confirmed that Jalamna was part of its Al Qassam Brigade. The Israeli military, meanwhile, asserted that the three individuals had been using the hospital as a hiding place.
