The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said about 20 fighter jets and supporting aircraft flew 2,200 kilometers to hit seven sites, including command centers, weapons depots and military compounds.
According to the military, the fighter jets dropped more than 65 munitions on the Houthi targets, the largest number used in a single IAF strike in Yemen.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said the attack “eliminated dozens of Houthi terror operatives and destroyed stockpiles of UAVs and weaponry.”
As of his latest update on X, Houthi health ministry spokesman Anees Alasbahi said eight were dead and 142 were wounded in the attack. He added that the toll was not final, as rescuers were still searching for victims under the rubble.
Israel described the strikes as retaliation for Wednesday’s Eilat strike, which injured more than 20 people.
“As I promised yesterday – whoever harms us will be harmed sevenfold,” Katz said.
Hours after Israel’s strikes, the Houthis fired a ballistic missile that sent thousands into bomb shelters. The military said it was intercepted, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
