Australian volunteer fighters recently held their trench against a Russian assault near Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, with helmet cam footage capturing the exchange of fire. In the video, Australian soldiers from Ukraine’s 16th Motorized Battalion can be heard exchanging stereotypical Aussie slang while defending their trench line. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the battalion successfully held its ground, inflicting significant casualties on Russian infantry. Some of the Australians are reportedly as young as 19, although SOFX has not been able to verify this claim.
