The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched targeted strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, specifically in the cities of Kafr Kila, Alma ash-Shab, and Yaroun. These military actions, announced late Thursday on social media platform X by the IDF, were in response to a series of rocket and drone attacks initiated by Hezbollah against northern Israel earlier in the day.
The situation in the region has been tense, with an increase in cross-border hostilities. Southern Lebanon, a stronghold for the Hezbollah militia, has seen a significant rise in violent exchanges. The IDF’s strikes aimed to neutralize threats posed by Hezbollah, which has a history of launching attacks into Israeli territory. According to reports, the targeted areas included both military and possibly non-military structures, which have been used by Hezbollah to support their operations against Israel.
