On Wednesday, a joint subcommittee hearing by the House Oversight Committee brought renewed focus to allegations that the U.S. government has been withholding information about UFOs (now officially referred to as “unidentified anomalous phenomena” or UAP).
Titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,” the hearing featured testimony from four experts who argued that the Department of Defense and intelligence agencies have concealed critical information about UAPs from Congress and the public.
Americans deserve transparency. On the @GOPoversight UAP hearing, we heard about unidentified vehicles that fly at thousands of Gs. It’s time to uncover facts about extraterrestrial beings that our government has kept in the dark. We need answers!

Any part of the federal government knowingly concealing evidence about UAP from the public?

Former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo, who once led the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, testified that UAPs are real and are surveilling sensitive U.S. military sites. He suggested the U.S. possesses advanced UAP technology and claimed this secrecy constitutes a “multi decade arms race” concealed from oversight. Another witness, retired Major David Grusch, has previously alleged that the government has recovered nonhuman “biologics” and technology from crash sites.
The hearing also included testimony from Michael Shellenberger, a journalist who reported on a purportedly secret program named “Immaculate Constellation.” He presented a 12-page report to Congress, claiming that high-resolution UAP images and sensor data are hidden within the Department of Defense. Shellenberger argued that significant evidence has been kept from the public and stressed the need for declassification.
Rep. Nancy Mace, who led the hearing, called for transparency from intelligence agencies and raised concerns about the Pentagon’s reputation for excessive secrecy.
The recent hearing follows legislative efforts pushing for a civilian UAP reporting mechanism and increased declassification of UAP-related records and bipartisan calls for clearer insights into UAPs and their potential implications for national security.
