Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodríguez, known as “La Muñeca” (“The Doll”), has been arrested in Barrancabermeja, Colombia, for her suspected involvement in several murders linked to the criminal gang Los de la M. Rodríguez, 23, is accused of coordinating targeted assassinations, including the killing of her ex-boyfriend.
Police allege that Rodríguez lured her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesús García Palomino, to a meeting in July 2024 under the pretense of resolving a money dispute. He was ambushed and killed by gunmen on motorcycles, reportedly at Rodríguez’s direction. She is also suspected of orchestrating other killings tied to the gang’s control over drug trafficking in the Santander region.

Rodríguez was arrested along with two alleged accomplices, identified as “Leopoldo” and Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, nicknamed “Gorda Sicaria” (“Fat Hitwoman”). During the operation, police seized firearms, including a 9mm pistol, which are being tested for links to recent murders.
Authorities described Rodríguez as a key figure in Los de la M, a gang engaged in violent turf wars in northern Colombia. Barrancabermeja, where she was captured, has reported over 120 homicides this year. Police believe her arrest marks progress in dismantling the gang’s operations.
“With the capture of alias La Muñeca and alias Leopoldo, a period of calm has been created in the region,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera.
Rodríguez and her accomplices are in custody, though formal charges have not yet been filed. Police are continuing investigations into the gang’s activities, aiming to connect the suspects to additional crimes and further weaken their criminal network.
