The Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) claimed responsibility for the attack via a Telegram post, stating their operation aimed at a railway used by Russia for transporting military cargo, including ammunition from the Polimer company in Chapaevsk, Samara Oblast. The GUR specified that the bridge was put out of service for an extended period due to significant damage to its structural integrity, achieved through the detonation of its power structures.
Russian Telegram channel Baza, associated with Russia’s security services, reported that the explosion damaged the bridge’s metal structure and barrier, but not its concrete support. This marks a continuation of Ukraine’s strategy to target Russian logistics and supply routes.
