American defense technology company, Anduril Industries, has announced plans to construct Arsenal-1, its first hyperscale manufacturing facility, in Columbus, Ohio.
The $1 billion investment will produce tens of thousands of autonomous vehicles, sensors, and weapons annually, creating more than 4,000 direct jobs and thousands more in associated industries.
Anduril has selected Columbus, Ohio as the location of Arsenal-1, our first hyperscale manufacturing facility.
We are investing nearly $1 billion of our own money and will bring more than 4,000 direct jobs in the largest single job-creation project in Ohio history.

Set to open in 2026, the facility will span 5 million square feet near Rickenbacker International Airport, providing direct access to two 12,000-foot runways and a 75-acre private apron for military-scale logistics.
At full capacity, Arsenal-1 will serve as a cornerstone of Anduril’s mission to produce autonomous systems efficiently and at scale for the U.S. as well as its allies and partners.
Early production is expected to include Barracuda cruise missiles and Roadrunner interceptors, though energetics (explosives and warheads) are excluded.
The construction of Arsenal-1 aligns with U.S. defense priorities to strengthen deterrence capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign supply chains. Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf described Arsenal-1 as “a step forward in rebuilding the arsenal of democracy” and ensuring the U.S. military maintains its technological edge.
