U.S. Military Continues Airstrikes Against Houthi Targets in Yemen After Continued Maritime Threats

The United States military executed another strategic airstrike early Saturday against a Houthi-controlled radar installation in Yemen. This operation, disclosed by two anonymous U.S. officials, aimed to neutralize a significant threat to commercial shipping in the Red Sea. The strike follows a coordinated attack by the U.S. and Britain on Friday against Houthi rebels, marking an escalation in military action in the region.

President Joe Biden, addressing the situation, indicated that the Houthis could face additional military responses. These comments came alongside a warning issued by the U.S. Navy to American-flagged vessels, advising them to avoid the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden regions for a 72-hour period post the initial airstrikes.
