Third United States Air Force AFWERX Direct-to-Phase II SBIR Grant Awarded to ZeroEyes.
ZeroEyes, the company behind the one and only AI-based gun detection video analytics platform with a SAFETY Act Designation from the US Department of Homeland Security, announced today that it has been awarded its third SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Direct-to-Phase II funding. The Air Force AFWERX grant gives ZeroEyes $1.25M to integrate its artificial intelligence. At Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, a weapons detection technology is mounted on already-existing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) (AFB). As soon as a gun is visible, the UAV’s camera will be able to detect it thanks to the integration of ZeroEyes’ solution. A weapons expert at an operations center will confirm the threat and trigger after receiving screenshots identifying a gun.
