The creator of “Yellowstone,” Taylor Sheridan, has begun work on yet another series for the Paramount+ streaming platform. In “Lioness,” a young Marine is recruited to become friends with a terrorist’s daughter as part of a plot to destroy the group from within.
Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (“The Northman”) plays CIA senior supervisor Kaitlyn Meade, Emmy nominee Michael Kelly (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”) plays CIA deputy director Byron Westfield, Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (“The Shawshank Redemption”) plays U.S. secretary of state Edwin Mullins, and Sam Asghari (Britney Spears’ husband) plays Kamal in the film Lioness, which may have the most impressive cast of all. We’ll update this article with further information as it becomes available. There is no news on when the series will broadcast on Paramount+, but the recent flurry of casting announcements suggests the show is in the middle of production.
