Angering some service members, the Pentagon has announced last week that it will fine Balfour Beatty Communities LLC $65 million instead of doing business with it. The $65 million fine is due to falsifying its performance data and destroying resident comment cards. Specifically, it has not done its obligation right by leaving homes of family members full of issues such as toxic mold, water leaks, burst pipes, and so much more, which have put their health in jeopardy. Such action has allowed the company to get incentive fees from the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Balfour Beatty Communities has over 21 Air Force, 18 Navy, and 16 Army bases military housing communities across the country.
