Workers are quitting their jobs at record rates, and people are examining what they want out of their job and career, and putting greater emphasis on work-life balance. Most commonly, employees seek roles outside of their current organization, only 33% of employees who searched for new opportunity looked internally first. Most employees are not even aware of internal job openings, and those who are feel as if they have access to it, most commonly believing that another employee is already favored. 32% of people interviewed said they left their job because they thought it was easier to achieve growth somewhere else. Lack of Awareness, and access aren’t the only hinderance, only 20% of employee’s feel supported at their current jobs, and find it easier to look externally than to hint at dissatisfaction within their organization.
