A video reportedly released by Israeli local Israeli media outlets shows Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers in a close-range firefight with Hamas militants from the Qassam Brigades inside a residential building in Gaza.
The video captures a house-to-house operation by IDF troops. As they enter a residential home, gunfire erupts almost immediately. The soldiers are seen moving through tight hallways and rooms, using flashlights and thermal optics to search for threats. Hamas fighters fire back from hidden positions, leading to a standoff just feet apart.

Details about when and where the standoff occurred are still unknown. Fighting resumed in Gaza in March after a two-month ceasefire collapsed.
On Sunday, Israeli airstrikes killed at least 13 including several women and children. Among the victims were three Palestinians who died in a drone strike on a vehicle, and two others killed in a bombing near residential towers west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Additionally, two people were killed in artillery shelling of a home in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, while the body of a man was recovered near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza after Israeli warplanes bombed the area the day before.
Israeli forces also attacked the Islamic University building in Khan Younis.
