For 20 years, the US military has maintained its camp in Afghanistan. Within those years, the country has spent over $14 trillion, including a $6 million project that imported nine Italian goats to boost Afghanistan’s cashmere market. Out of the $14 trillion, one-third of it went to contractors, and $2.1 trillion was used to purchase weapons, supplies, and other services from companies like Lockheed Martin Corp, Boeing Co, General Dynamics Corp, Raytheon Technologies Corp, and Northrop Grumman Corp.
