The United States of America sanctions Sudan’s Central Reserve Police.
The US has sanctioned Sudan’s Central Reserve Police, accusing them of employing excessive force on demonstrators. The highly armed division has been at the forefront of Sudanese security forces’ “violent reaction” to nonviolent protesters. Since October 25, when army head Abdel Fattah al-Burhan staged a military coup, regular rallies advocating for the civilian government have occurred.
