US, Moroccan, Tunisian paratroopers jump together at African Lion 22 | Army

More than 7,500 Americans, Moroccans, and Tunisians are collaborating to improve joint operational capabilities. 

Paratroopers did military free-fall, and static-line jumps from the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), the Utah Army National Guard, the Royal Moroccan Army, and the Tunisian Land Army. As an airborne action is called, the jump is part of U.S. Africa Command’s most important and most delicate annual joint exercise, African Lion 22. In Grier Labouihi, Morocco, more than 7,500 participants from 28 countries and NATO are training together. U.S. African Lion 22 

The Africa Command’s most essential and acceptable yearly joint and combined exercise. 6-30 June, it is hosted by Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, and Tunisia. Together, more than 7,500 individuals from 28 countries and NATO train. AL22 utilizes a comprehensive set of mission capabilities to enhance interoperability. U.S. African Lion 22 

Its primary mission is to assist the goals of the United States government via a range of military-to-military engagements. These alliances foster strategic connections based on personal ties and lasting trust.
