MacDill AFB and the University of South Florida have announced a partnership. (Tribune News Service) The University of South Florida and MacDill Air Force Base have formed a partnership.
Through the three-year partnership, USF students will have access to mentors, research projects, guest speakers, and internships. With the help of its lab staff, MacDill will encourage the education of future mathematicians, scientists, and engineers and create courses and initiatives that would allow students to receive credit for participating in defense laboratory research projects. In addition, they disclosed a $10 million arrangement with the USF Institute of Applied Engineering for a five-year period to provide “operations research, data science, wargaming, human dynamics modeling, rapid prototyping, subject matter expertise, and conference support.”
