Ukraine is said to have entered a new phase of the war, with preparations underway for a counteroffensive against Russian forces. Senior adviser to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated that there were intensifying attacks on the Russian rear supplies, indicating a shift in tactics. A video released by the commander in chief of Ukraine’s armed forces showed troops training and preparing for battle, hinting at an upcoming operation to reclaim Ukrainian territories. Although Russia declared full control of the eastern city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian officials insisted that the battle was not over and that they still held strategic positions. Meanwhile, there were reports of withdrawal by the Wagner mercenary group and an explosion near the Russia-Belarus border, potentially linked to the conflict.
