U.S. A fugitive who is thought to have shot and killed a man in August and been involved in another incident on November 16 was detained by marshals.
According to the Rocky Mount Police Department, a 25-year-old male was shot on November 16 in the 100 block of Boyd Court. He was sent to a neighborhood hospital for treatment. Officers observed a suspect vehicle turning onto Green Pasture Road on Cokey Road the day of the incident, and Fields was reportedly inside the vehicle. Police issued arrest warrants for 29-year-old Michael Fields two days later, on November 18. He was wanted for questioning in connection with a dangerous weapon assault that resulted in significant harm and intent to kill.
