This month, Google published its yearly “Year in Search” list, which displays the search phrases that experienced the biggest increases in volume.
The compilation sheds some light on the interests, questions, and concerns of internet users worldwide in 2022. This year, one significant subject is glaringly absent: COVID-19. Coronavirus was not mentioned in the top health and wellness searches this year, unlike last year when vaccination and infection prevention were of major interest. Anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder were not the top searches this year, but rather physical and mental healing — how to become physically stronger and how to deal with these conditions.
