Years of misconduct and mental health issues by an Air Force special operations pilot culminated in alleged domestic violence.
On November 25, 2021, Air Force special operations pilot Capt. Matt Jacobs and his wife Stephanie got into a heated disagreement at their Florida home. Matt is one of many active-duty service personnel who struggle with mental health difficulties. Matt hadn’t been admitted to a hospital under the Baker Act for the first time. And it was far from the couple’s last issue. He was on a downward trajectory. According to a spokeswoman for Matt’s command, they are waiting for the civilian court process to conclude before taking any action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
