Murph CrossFit’s “Hero Workout” for Memorial Day
Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy and his squad of Navy SEALs were amid an enemy onslaught on June 28, 2005. Murphy stepped out into the open to gain a better signal to send a distress signal. The events of that day had depicted in the 2013 film “Lone Survivor,” starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, and Emile Hirsch.
Dave McMullan, a CrossFit competitor, wants to collect money for a local nonprofit that gives services and assistance to veterans transitioning from the military. The Murph CrossFit “Hero Workout” will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Memorial Day.
On May 30 in Idaho Falls, Those interested in participating must pay $20, and tickets may be purchased online.
