According to studies, many people mature and become more emotionally stable, agreeable, and conscientious.
The author of the study, Dr. Rodica Damian, stated: “The ranks (of personality characteristics) are largely stable. People who are more conscientious at age 16 than other people of their age are probably still more conscientious at age 66. The findings stem from research on personality changes over a 50-year period. The findings demonstrated that although personality is largely constant over the course of a lifetime, it can also change. The research indicates that personality has a stable component over the lifespan, both at the trait and profile levels, and that personality is flexible and people mature with age.
