Colt Manufacturing acquirer Czech Armory, more commonly known as CZ, is a respected gunmaker among competitive shooters. Originally headquartered in Uherský Brod, the company served as the Czech Republic’s national armorer before World War II. CZ established footholds in the American industry in 1997. When their license was approved many people were eager to get their hands on the CZ-75 pistol. First introduced in 1975, by 2007 more than a million units had been sold around the world. There are currently 13 versions of the CZ-75 available today, which all fire the 9mm Luger round.
