Two American soldiers are being investigated by South Korean officials for allegedly using an electric scooter while intoxicated and then fleeing the scene of a crime in Seoul over the weekend. According to a Yongsan Police Station senior traffic investigation officer, the undisclosed duo was riding the scooter together at 1 a.m. Sunday when they suddenly fell from the vehicle. Both officers’ blood alcohol levels were above 0.08 percent, which is twice the legal limit for driving and enough to have their license suspended, according to police. The soldiers have been handed over to military police from the United States Forces Korea, according to the officer. Neither the South Korean police nor the United States Forces Korea would name the soldiers or say where they were stationed.
