Army officials confirmed on Friday that a 3rd Special Forces Group airborne soldier was killed in a shooting that occurred in Raeford, North Carolina, on January 18.
According to a press release from the United States, Staff Sgt. Jimmy Lee Smith III, 24, worked as a chef with the 3rd Special Forces Group’s Group Support Battalion.
