Army officials confirmed on Friday that a 3rd Special Forces Group airborne soldier was killed in a shooting that occurred in Raeford, North Carolina, on January 18.
According to a press release from the United States, Staff Sgt. Jimmy Lee Smith III, 24, worked as a chef with the 3rd Special Forces Group’s Group Support Battalion. Command for Army Special Operations. No details about the circumstances of his passing were immediately available. Authorities from the local police department are looking into the situation. According to the press release, Col. John D.
