The US Special Operations Command informed JOINT-FORCES that SOF Week will take the place of SOFIC in 2023 in the following announcement.
“We’d like to make it clear that even though we won’t be hosting ‘SOFIC’ with our former partner, the National Defense Industrial Association, Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Global SOF Foundation (GSF) will host a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week 8-11 May,” reads a statement from MacDill AFB in Florida on December 20, 2022. “SOF Week is the yearly USSOCOM industry conference’s growth and rebranding. The USSOCOM Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner, which will commemorate new Bull Simons and Lambertsen Awardees, and an industry conference will still be a component of SOF Week.
