According to a formal announcement, “Drill Cyclone-I,” the first-ever combined exercise between the special forces of the Indian Army and the Egyptian Army, is currently taking place in Rajasthan.
The exercise, which started on January 14, focuses on sharing professional skills and interoperability of the special forces in desert terrain while conducting counterterrorism, reconnaissance, raids, and other special operations. It is intended to strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries. The special forces of the two countries are participating in this drill for the first time. The joint exercise would develop military collaboration and interoperability by giving a glimpse into the cultures and philosophies of both armies, further strengthening diplomatic ties between Egypt and India.
