Must Read

Sigma Defense Systems has been granted a 5-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract by the General Services Administration to help the Defense Department’s sensor data initiatives. The contract’s maximum value is $250 million.

Sigma will support DOD enterprise and site-level deployments to operationalize ground entry points and gateways, as well as other data centers, under the provisions of the deal.

Sensor data from manned and unmanned airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance equipment that assist conventional and special operations troops around the world is disseminated through these gateways. The integration of ISR sensors and communication components to assist sensor data analysis and distribution is a specific focus of these efforts.
