It is said that vegan meals were served to Sam Bankman-Fried while he was incarcerated in the Bahamas.
Sardines and grits for breakfast and plain beef and rice for lunch were regular fare for inmates at the Fox Hill jail in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Meals were sometimes provided in stale bowls, and dinner was frequently missed. However, Bankman-Fried ate stewed greens and vegetables for lunch and dinner and toast and jam for breakfast while he was a guest at Fox Hill. According to the study, Bankman-Fried was placed in Fox Hill’s medical wing with up to five other inmates in a dormitory-style room that was constantly watched, as opposed to being kept with the rest of the prison population.
