A two-week bilateral drill between the Navy SEALs of the United States and South Korea was just completed, according to officials on Sunday.
The South Korean Naval Special Warfare Flotilla and a West Coast-based SEAL squad wrapped up their bilateral meeting on December 9, according to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. The U.S. military highlighted that the exercise featured information and cultural exchanges, close-quarters combat drills, static and dynamic weapons training, and mission planning on its website. U.S. The two-week training “sharpens our readiness and reflects our ironclad commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific,” said Navy Capt. David Abernathy, commander of Naval Special Warfare Group 1. “We look forward to continuing to develop this partnership.”
