Retired Army major general reduced to second lieutenant for sex crime conviction | Army Times

After pleading guilty last year in a Virginia court to sexually abusing his daughter while in duty, the defense secretary demoted a retired Army major general to the rank of second lieutenant. Grazioplene, 71, began his military career in 1971 with an appointment at the same rank after graduating from West Point. Before retirement in 2005, he was promoted to the rank of two-star general. However, his daughter, Jennifer Elmore, later claimed that her father had sexually assaulted her throughout her youth and at several locations both overseas and in the United States.
