Rafael, an Israeli defense technology company, has released a video showcasing the counter-drone capabilities of its Typhoon Weapon System.
The video shows the system being used to detect and intercept multiple drones in a variety of scenarios, including a swarm attack. The Typhoon system integrates multiple sensors, including radar and electro-optical sensors, to detect and track drones, while a high-powered laser is used to disable or destroy them. The system is mounted on a naval vessel and is designed to protect ships and other critical infrastructure from drone threats. Rafael claims that the Typhoon system can intercept drones at ranges of up to 4 kilometers, and can neutralize them within seconds. The company says the system can operate in all weather conditions, day or night, and can be integrated with other defense systems.
