Palantir Technologies, a software and data integration corporation specializing in military, intelligence, and homeland security issues, has formed its first government advisory board, which includes numerous important former defense leaders. Former Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James and retired Adm. William McRaven are among the defense experts chosen to the Palantir Federal Advisory Board to provide their insights to corporate executives, according to a statement released Wednesday by the firm. In a Tuesday interview, Palantir senior vice president Wendy Anderson, a former DoD official, said the board members would assist the firm in better grasping how the military services and the Defense Department function. The board members, who are paid, are also aware that the nation’s military requirements are changing and that this transition is being driven by the fast advancement of technology.
