Off-duty police officer saves man at gym | Kare 11

Must Read

Dahl attends frequently and occasionally even teaches classes at Timberwolf. There is a real family atmosphere at Timberwolf, the kind of gym where some people even bring their dogs.

By no means is this a large corporate gym; South St. Paul police sergeant Mike Dahl stated, “We know everyone who comes in and out.” Sara Vermilyea cited this as one of the numerous reasons why she enjoys going to the gym. She claimed to have made a great deal of acquaintances there and even met her fiancé while exercising. “All of a sudden, I saw one of our members on the floor,” Dahl said, referring to Vermilyea’s father, Pat. And when someone yelled, “He’s not breathing,” I stepped in without even giving it a second thought. Dahl stated that this is not the first time he has had to perform CPR in a medical emergency. He said that this was the first time his CPR attempt had actually succeeded in saving a life.
