To increase their firepower and mobility against insecurity, the Nigerien special forces have purchased 100 KIA KM450 utility vehicles and 100 AR-M52T assault rifles made in Bulgaria.
Nigerien special forces have upgraded their arsenal with Bulgarian-made AR-M52T assault rifles, featuring adjustable gas blocks, side folding and collapsible stocks, and muzzle brakes for recoil reduction, making it ideal for close combat. The rifle can fire 700 rounds per minute and is fitted with a 30-round magazine, allowing for efficient and sustained fire, and a Picatinny rail for mounting optics and accessories. The FAN has also acquired 100 KIA KM450 utility vehicles to improve mobility and operational proficiency against insecurity, with funding from the Ministry of National Defence. The new weapons and vehicles will enhance the Nigerien military’s capabilities to effectively engage enemy forces. These acquisitions come as part of Niger’s efforts to strengthen its military and improve security in the country.
