Washington’s Attorney General will not appeal a ruling prohibiting Navy SEAL training in parks.

The Washington state attorney general’s office chose not to appeal a judge’s judgment prohibiting Navy SEALs and other military training in state parks. Judge James Dixon determined that the commission lacked the legal jurisdiction to authorize the activity. The state has thirty days to appeal the verdict, which was announced on May 13. SEAL training includes submersible boats that cruise offshore seas and unarmed trainees.
