The US Navy and Marine Corps identified critical information warfare deficiencies.
The Navy is disclosing further details on its new information warfare task group for the Pacific Fleet. In March, the service’s chief commander explained the new structure briefly. The task force will coordinate efforts throughout the Navy, fully incorporating its Marine Corps counterparts. During its recent Large Scale Exercise, the Navy put a number of its information warfare and developing ideas to the test. The US Navy and Marine Corps assess information warfare goals and capability gaps for 2023 and beyond.
According to a spokeswoman, LSE 2021 presented a chance to concentrate on the role of information warfare at the operational level of battle. Onboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and via the marine operations centers of multiple fleets, information warfare actions were performed.
