Capt. Brad Geary has been selected as one of the two 2020 Vice Adm. James Bond Stockdale Leadership Award recipients. The commanding officer of Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command was presented with the honor during a ceremony at the Pentagon Hall of Heroes last month.
The award recognizes two individual commanding officers from within the Navy who exemplify inspirational leadership in their professional and personal lives while also contributing to the advancement of leadership in the Navy.
Geary was recognized for his previous command tour of SEAL Delivery Team Vehicle Team ONE (SDVT-1), during which operational requirements were masterfully handled and an exceptional command climate was fostered. Geary was quick to acknowledge the quality of people under his command in making his recognition possible.
