National Geographic has planned a new program dubbed “Bin Laden’s Hard Drive” with the pledge of an in-depth investigation of Al-Qaeda co-founder Osama bin Laden’s declassified personal papers. The one-hour special, which aired on CNN follows CNN National Security Analyst Peter Bergen as he leads a group of specialists through a comprehensive investigation into flash drive records retrieved from the Abbottabad compound in Pakistan, where the 9/11 conspirator was killed by US Special Forces in 2011.

Bergen will also speak with Abdullah Anas, a former mujahideen who was once a good friend of Bin Laden’s, and Abdel Bari Atwan, a reporter and former Editor in Chief of Al-Quds Al-Arabi, an independent pan-Arab newspaper based in London that centered on women’s, children’s, and migrant’s privileges and strives to root out corruption, racial prejudice, and repressive governments, as part of the special.
