According to new research, spending a lot of time in green areas like parks and gardens may enhance mental health and lessen the need for prescription drugs to treat illnesses like anxiety, sleeplessness, and depression.
The study, which was carried out by a team of researchers in Finland and published in the Journal of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, stated that “Exposure to natural surroundings is assumed to be beneficial for human health, although the evidence is inconsistent.” The researchers stated that their finding is consistent with emerging data emphasizing the significance of actual green space use in relation to mental health, and it suggests that the same holds true for other health disorders, such as asthma and hypertension.
