Akshay Nanavati, an author, explorer, and Iraq War veteran, wants to assist soldiers in overcoming fear. He authored the book “Fearvana: How to Transform Fear into Health, Wealth, and Happiness.” In addition to his experience, the book contains guided exercises and approaches for overcoming fear. After seeing “Black Hawk Down” in high school, he decided to join the military. The book by Akshay Nanavati is a rebuttal to erroneous assumptions about the worth of fear and its equivalents, stress, and worry.
If mindfulness practice does not work for you, he advises you to be open to exploring different avenues. How do you see your post-military life and current occupation? A: My view of the world is that it is a playground, and we have the chance to experience this magnificent adventure. I am fortunate to have seen life’s extremes, but knowledge comes from education and wisdom from experience. If you can learn to find happiness amid hardship, you will have a happier life.
