On a new version, Luminox partners with the renowned Navy SEALS.
Since the brand’s inception, Luminox has collaborated directly with the U.S. Navy SEALs to design timepieces that meet the rigorous requirements of active military personnel. The most recent version of the “Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast” Chronograph has the iconic Navy SEAL motto in an all-black design. The Navy SEAL Chronograph “Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast” Edition incorporates Luminox Light Technology, the brand’s unique illumination system. Tritium-filled tubes are inserted within the hands and hour markers of the dial to provide illumination.
These tubes will continue to emit light for up to 25 years regardless of whether or not they are exposed to sunlight. The Luminox Navy SEAL Chronograph “Slow is Smooth is Smooth, Smooth is Fast” Edition is $595, with an official retail price of $850. This specific model may not resonate with people who do not have a personal connection to the Navy’s elite tactical team, but it may appeal to other collectors due to the significance of the Navy’s elite tactical squad to the Luminox brand and its history.
