On Saturday night, the Israeli police and Yasam special operations team raided a compound in an Arab community in northern Israel to rescue a Palestinian man, detaining a number of suspects.
Issa Sayat, a 60-year-old Palestinian contractor from the Hebron region, was abducted last Wednesday for ransom close to Rosh HaAyin in central Israel. Security personnel carried out a raid on a residence in Umm Al-Fahm on Saturday night, freed Sayat, and detained further suspects who were allegedly holding him hostage. Sayat was taken to a nearby police station while still unhurt physically.
