Jonathan Pollard was arrested in 1985 and sentenced to life imprisonment after he plead guilty to giving Israel military secrets. He was freed in 2015, and last month his travel ban was not renewed. Pollard and his wife were welcomed in Israel by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and were given an Israeli residency card. “We hope to become productive citizens as soon and as quickly as possible, to get on with our lives here,” stated Pollard in a video.
