While some businesses encourage remote work, others are cutting back on their remote options. Data from LinkedIn shows that the percentage of jobs involving remote work dropped from 20% in February to 14% in September. 

A CNN study claims that a large number of CEOs want their workers back in the office at least a few days per week, indicating a trend to hybrid employment. Some CEOs have gone to extreme lengths, like Twitter’s Elon Musk, who ordered all workers to work from home five days a week or risk losing their jobs. For jobs with a strong potential for remote work, the hybrid work paradigm mixes remote work with time spent in an office. The hybrid work paradigm has been taken into consideration by several businesses as employee demand for flexibility rises. 

  1. Some employees have yet to have the opportunity of working from home.
  1. The tech industry is no longer embracing remote work entirely.
